On tills page every Wl el^/e will announce the standing of the candidates in the piano contest,
Give our prices a stuoy and compare them with the prices of other stores and you will readily
see that our regular prices are lower than the sale prices from other stores.
During this piano contest we expect to offer our stock of goods at even a lower price than at other
times as we are going to make it interesting for the candidates, and give them the advantage of the
low prices for the Cash Tickets.
Our stock of carefully selected goods consist of everything for ladies and children.
Ladies of all ages are cordially invited to make our store their stopping place when in the city.
Rules of Piano Contest.
1. The contest will close Monday night,
September 2nd, at seven o’clock. N
2, The name of the successful candidate
will be announced as soon after the contest
closes as votes can te counted.
2. Every customer making a purchase at
our store will be given a cash ticket entitling
them to as many votes as there are cents on the
cash ticket.
(For an example, the ticket reading
Mdse. $2.50 will entitle the holder to Two Hun
dred and Fifty votes.)
4. Customers receiving these Cash Tickets
can voce them for their favorite, or give them to
any other person for them to vote.
5. All votes not turned in within ten days
from date of purchase will be void. #
(>. Votes may be brought to our store per
sonally, or mailed in.
7. The standing of the candidates will be
announced in each we.‘ks issue of the Searchlight.
8. 1 he name and address of candidate must
be written plainly at the top of each cash ticket
on line designated for names.
Millinery Department.
You vvill find at all times a complete line of
seasonable goods and a line of trimmings suita
ble for the repairing of hats. We have a trim
mer all the season and will be glad to have you
oome in and have your hat touched up. With
just a little work we can make it look new.
The ladies will always find a cordial wel
come in our millinery room for them, we make
it a rest room for the ladies.

we handle. We make a specialty of nothing
but ladies and children goods and try to handle
a complete line.
We expect to make a weekly change of this
page advertisement and you will profit by keep

merchandise we handle.
The Cash system we run our business on
warrants us on giving the lowest prices as we
do not have to figure any losses on the customers
that do not pay their debts, thereby causing us
to lose money on them.
