THE PLAN
Every subscriber taken for the Post-Search Light
COUNTS. No subscription may be taken for less than $1.00
(or one year in length), and none for over $10,00 (or ten
ears). THIS APPLIES TO EOTH NEW AND OLD
UBSCRIBERS. Both NEW and OLD subscriptions, and
the collection of all old subscription accounts, counts. The
same number of votes is given with a renewal or payment
of back accounts, as is given with a new subscription.
RULES
No employe of this paper is eligible to compete. Corre
spondents MAY compete.
Contestants may nominate themselves or be nominated
by friends without cost.
Votes cannot be transferred or purchased. Only cou
pons clipped trom the issues of the Post-Search Light, and
votes issued with cash subscriptions count.
In case of a tie for any prize, the value of the prize tied
for will be equally divided between those tying.
The territory embraced in this contest is such territory
as naturally served by this newspaper. Candidates may
solicit subscriptions ANYWHERE, and are not restricted
to any given territory.
The Contest Manager will decide questions which may
arise during the course of the contest and his decisions will
be final.
Until on and after February 12th, no candidate will be
permitted to vote more than 50,000 certificate votes per
week.
The final count will be made by a committee, composed
of business men of Bainbridge. disinterested in any candi
date.
Extra or bonus votes for meritorous work may be award
ed at the discretion of the Contest Manager, prior notice of
such votes to be given all candidates in order that all candi
dates may compete equally for such extra votes cr bonus
votes awarded.
Contestants in entering this contest agree to abide by
these -ules here-in laid down, and such additional rulings as
may be seemed necessary by the Contest Manager from
time to time.
NO LOSERS
THERE WILL BE NO LOSERS IN THIS CONTEST,
for the Post-Search Light guarantees that every candidate
who competes to the end of the of the contest, but who fails
to win a grand prize, or a weekly special cash prize, and
turns in even as little as $25 or more in cash subscriptions,
will be given a cash commission ot 10 per cent on every
dollar they turn in. Nothing can he fairer than this.
HOW TO WIN
FIRST—You enter the contest by sending in a nomina
tion blank properly filled out. The nomination blank on this
page is good for 1,000 votes, and only one nomination coupon
will be accepted for any one candidate.
SECOND—Enlist the aid of your friends and neighbors,
Use your telephone; write letters (the Post-Search Light
furnishes free of charge printed letters that will save a lot
ef writing); let everybody know that you are a candidate,
call on them and get their subscription before they promise
their aid to a more enterprising candidate.
THIRD—Be ambitious and determined to WIN from
the start. Such friends that you cannot see or phone to,
write to AT ONCE. YOU CAN GET VOTES AND SUB-
SCRIPTIONS ANYWHERE.
Call or send to the Post-Search Light for a receipt book.
The Contest Manager will be glad to have you call, so he
can explain anything that you do not understand. Telephone
239, or write to him, Lock Box 314, if you cannot personally
call at the Post-Search Light office, and a representative of
the contest department will call on you, or write you full
details.
Secure every vote coupon possible. But work to get
NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS and RENEWALS, for the special
subscription ballots COUNT UP MUCH QUICKER. Begin
ning next week, each copy of the Post-Search Light will con
tain a ballot good for 25 votes, and anybody can clip them
out and send them in to your credit.
A NEW subscriber is one who is NOT taking the Post-
Search Light on January 13. An OLD subscriber is one whose
name was on the Post Search Light mailing list January 13.
Changing the paper from one member of the family to an
other is NOT a new subscription. The subscription rate of
the Post-Search Light is #1.00 the year, and subscribers may
renew for not over 10 years in advance at this rate.
Let your friends know that you accept their aid. It will
be freely given if you ask them for their subscription and
votes before they have promised or given it to another,
hence the value of STARTING NOW.
