Georgia is so busy now chasing

any idea of political gratitude he
will do this very thing.
The man that attends to his

There is a strong moral to this.

of his country in time of warand

I Henry Ford is a great advocate
of Peace. Suppose we send him
to Mexico on the first trip and
see what he can do with a bunch
of mescal drinkers with his new
doctrine. Unfortunately gun
powder is about the only thing
that will convince an average
Mexican that things are bilious.

There can not be a more worthy
spirit in any man’s breast than
the one that will him trom private
life into the ranks ot the soldiers
of his own native land but dont
it make you sick to see some
politican who is well aware that
he can not pass the physical ex
amination blow about how anxi
ous he is to get on the line of
battle, the glory line as it were.
We have some that know they
wont be accepted just "chawing”
the bits to get into this war. It is
a pity that their bluff cant be
called in some way.
The declaration of War be
tween this country and Mexico
will find the same response that
it has ever found in America.
Men are ready and willing to go
to front and measure up to any
tasks Imposed on them. The man
that has the least idea that this
country cant put her full quoto
of men in the field will find their
calamity howling vain and
foolish. Our people dont like war,
they are opposed to it in every
way and shape but when every
effort has been made by the
President to avoid war has been
shown as vain they are ready to
rally to their government. The
calamity howler and the grouch
should be silenced and any man
that now preaches against his
government should be shot as
giving aid and help to a public
enemy. Every sensible man in
America knows that the U. S.
Government has tried to avoid
war and had the disgruntled
politicians and inside traitors
kept their mouths shut they
would not have brought it on us.
Now is a time for stern dealing
with those that forget their ob
ligations to a government that
has been their protection should
be silenced and quick. The harp
ing of little men has given en
couragement to the Mexicans
and led them to think that the
government would not receive
the support of the people and
hence their nagging methods of
forcing war on us.
Each citizen of this country
enjoys rights and privileges that
those of no other country on the
globe and they will show by their
actions now what they think of
the man that gives comfort to
the enemy by harping on and
adversely criticising the Presi
dent for cheap political purposes.
We have men that have been
prominent in their time, but
having lost influence by their
political perniciousness who are
now trying to make capital by
handicapping the government in
its heavy burdens. The people
of the state of Georgia are be
hind the President and right or
worng we are with our country.
If a man be so low, so mean and
so dirty as to give counsel and
comfort to the enemy be among
us, we shall squelch him in-
stanter. This is not a time for
growlers and grouches to be
heard but is a time for men to
act and act swiftly. The govern
ment will make short work of
Mexico and there will be little
for apprehension. Our
greatest danger is from within
for we have little men that would
sink this government to perdi
tion just to get the privilege of
saying “I told you so”. Frown
down on the quasi traitor and
give the President your moral
support and the matter will soon
end.
War has been Jpractically cer
tain for weeks past. Every man
mu9t do his part in his sphere.
If you cant bear arms you can
help by silencing the men that
give comfort to the enemy by
criticism.
