A lady was killed by lightening

Uncle Henry McGuire went to
Texas recently to stay three weeks
but it was so hot when he arrived

Mr, Emory Jarrard, who left our
county and located aip in Michigan
quite a while ago, made his annu
al visit to his old home again last
week as he has been doing for sev
eral years. This time he will re
turn with one of Lumpkin’s most
beautiful young ladies who he lias
been corresponding and talking
with for the pa°t ten years, the
wedding having taken place last
Sunday.
