We have had a rocking chair in
our office fourteen months for 1 1-

thing unusual for a pritit shop. We
would have a high one made

would be comfortable but too slow
for a success.

We are told ihat a certain man
in this county who preaches,
came across a drunk fellow
and asked him to come and go lo
church. The drinking man told
the one with the Bible that he
was too drunk to go about any
church. But being insisted upon

The eight amendments on the
tickets for the coming election are
local county matters that do not
concern tho residents of other
counties. For this reason wc are
going to scratch both “for” and
“against” and let those interested
settle it. Local matters of this
kind ought noi to have to go be
fore the people of the state, be
cause it does 1 ot only take up the
time of the legislature but costs
Georgia a lot of unnecessary mon
ey to have the notice of the amend
ments published, besides- being in
the way w hen a person goes to
vote.
