A* Ordinance granting certain privilege* to the
Trustee* of Bibb County Academy.
grc. 1. Be it Ordained by the Mayor and Council
the City of Macon in Council assembled, and it ts
hereby Ordained by the Authority of the same. That
Jh* Trustees of Bibb county Academy, bare tho privilege
of closing the alleys in square 73. except the alleys running
along the North eud and East side of Geo. W. Price’s lot
No. Via said squire, and by throwing open a ten foot alley
oatbe West side of said Price's lot; this privilege to rtf-
tnain so long as said lots are used for the purpose of Public
Education, and whenever these lota are used in any other
way than tbal designated, this privilege shall become null
and void.
8ec. 2. And be it further ordained, That nothing in
this Ordinance aball be ao construed ns to nuthorise the
Trustees efo-esaid to stop np any alley or alleys or so close
^hem. as to prevent or obstruct the free ingress end egress
cffodt pxtsengers.

con Bridge, amounting to $3055 35.

Resolved, That at the approaching election for Mayor
and Aldermen, oe the first Saturday in January next, no

that, two doors back in ihesdme building, and fronting on
third street, where he will be in daily attendance, from 10
in tho diornirig, till 2 in the afternoon, for the purpose more
especially of attending.to the treaunenwof Chronic cases
brought from a distance; persons from the country, there
fore, calling between those times, will not, except in ex
treme cases, be disappointed. The balance of his time in
the mornings, evenings, and nights, will be devoted as usu
al, to the treatment of acute cases in town, or a short dis
tance in the country, when the calls of such as deem it their
interest to procure bis services will be attended to. He
would, however, respectfully request that none but those
who are satisfied of the superiority of Botanic remedies, or
those in possession of sufficient independence and nerve to
lest that fact, would trouble him with their applications, as
nono others, if known would in any case, be attended to.
Such of the poor as come within the above rule, will be

He is now receiving and will always keep a fresh and
full supply or genuine Botanic Medicines, which will
sell at reasonable prices to practitioners and families, at
whole sale or retail.
