We have examined the Honks of James Hollingsworth,
late county Treasurer, whose office is vacated by his re
moval from the county, and find the same hnlmced, lie liav-

from Macon toward Columbus and the Milledgeville road

We have also examined into the condition of the county
buildings, and find the Jail well and deanh kept: the deb
tor! rn-m ia represented to us to be very uncomfortable in
cold weather, for the want of n««h and glass inside shutters,
and at the suggestion of the Jailor, we would recommend
that aueh arrangement be made with the doors as will
tothe eorn'ort of those who may he
incarcerated therein, withont endangering their security.
We find that the Court House is nfso in very bad order, and
without repair, must anon be in a state of rapid decay.—
We therefore earnestly recommend and request the In
ferior Court, to make such an economical appropriation of
the publie fund* derired from the taxes ol the present year
as will save the public property from decay, and place the
same in the hands ofthe Clerk of the infetior Court.asau-
perint-ndant of the public buildings, to be by him judici
ously appropriated fot the purposes herein recommended.

MEDICAL REMOVAL.
HE subscriber has temoved his office from the corner
that, two doors back in the same building, and fronting on
third street, where he will be in daily attendance, from 10
in the morning, till 2 in the afternoon, for the purpose more
especially of attending to the treatment of Chronic coses
brought from a distance; persons from the country, there-
fore, calling between those times, will not, except in ex
treme case*, be disappointed. The balance of his lime in
the mornings, evenings, and nights, will be devoted as usu
al, to the treatment of acute cases in town, or a short dis
tance in thecountry, when the calls of such as deem it Ihetr
interest to procure his services will be attended to. He
would, however, respectfully request that none but those
who are satisfied of the superiority of Botanic remedies, or
those in possession of sufficient independence and nerve to
lest that fact, would trouble him with their applications, as
none others, if know’ll would in any case, be attended to.
Such ofthe poor as come within the above rule, will be
attended gratuitously,but be would lake this opportunity
of begging that they will not think themselves slighted, if
it should not be convenient for him to be always with them.
He is now receiving and will alw ays keep a fresh and
