want to know if here wasn’t licentious preach

an immense pinch of snuff as the idea crossed
her mind, and her spectacles assumed an air
of oracular wisdom as she looked at the ceiling
at the three spit-balls Ike had thrown there.
“Some of’em.” she continued, “count their

upon it, they get found out at last.” She sub

New York, October 15,1852.
I?" Tliis is to certify that I was troubled with a
tape worm for more than six months. I tried all the
known remedies for this dreadful affliction, without
being able to destroy it. I got one of Dr. M’Lane’s
Almanacs, which contained notices of several won
derful cures that bad been performed by his celebra

“Some weeks since being seriously affected with
pain and uneasiness at tbe stomach, loss of appetite,
and at times strong symptoms of dyspepsia, 1 was
induced to try your Holland Bitters, and! feel it but
an act of justice to the article as well as for tbe good
of those who may be affected with like derange

single bottle of this medicine proved of incalculable
benefit, having freed the stomach from all sense of
depression, and removed every aymptom of dyspep

severe as to make it necessary to administer largo

induce any repose. Having frequent correspon

in his anxiety for his mother's welfare, sent mo a
bottle of your" Electric Oil; but as I am one of the
practitioners of medicine in our place, and not a
