A riammoth Stock
Of Furniture and Undertaking goods
is what yon will see in the handsome
two-story rock building of the Winder
Furniture Cos. We went through their
stock this week to find one what they
had and to look at the beautiful suits of
furniture they were getting in. Messrs
C. M. Ferguson aud Ernest Bush, the
proprietors of this big establishment
were very conrtions and oarrled us
through the different departments from
the first to tha top floor. We had no
idea until we got through that they
carried such a large stock of furniture
& nd house furnishing goods of all kinds.
The first floor is artistically arranged
& ud you are charmed by its beauty and
elegance.
It compares with any of the big oity
houses of the same kind, the only dif
erence being in favor of the Winder
wniture Cos., because they sell the
84019 c l aas of goods for less money than
yaa pay the big city houses. In the
“econd story we found their large nn
ertakmg department where they keep
a 1 kinds of caskets and ooflflns from the
Plain to the finest. They also keep
hacks of furnture on the second floor
or Waat °f space on the first. If yon
want to see something pretty and pleas.
n S to the eye you ought to visit this
cm and let them show you through.
s greatly enjoyed the half hour spent
a inspecting the different departments
an if we had the time would go through
n -ook at the many pretty things they
Q ave every week.

A Dastardly Deed.
Mr. C. L. Bond of Nicholson waa
knocked down and robbed last Thursday
night while going home from his place
of business. He is one of the leading
business men of Nicholson and postmas
ter of that place. He was struck a ter
rific blow on the head, but his hat
broke its force, partially, other
wise death would have resulted.
His pockets were turned wrong side
out and about |2B in cash were prooured
beside the keys to the postoffice, which
’ was afterwards looted. The last reports
are that he will recover from the lick.
The Economist hopes to soon hear of
his complete recoverv and that the
guilty party will De convicted and pun
ished. We have known Mr. Bond for a
number of years, and can truthfully say
there is no more upright and better cit
izen in Jaokaon County than he.

About four years ago one side of my
abdomen began to enlarge from a
growth inside. It grew to such propor
tions that it seemed to fill the abdomen.
Then dropsy began and swelled both
legs and stomach to twice their normal
size. The doctors called the trouble en
largement of the spleen, and told me I
mast die. I was removed from the hos
pital and sent for Dr. J. H. Mcleau’s
Liver and Kidney Balm. I took seven
I bottles and am well in every way now.
iThe dropsy entirely disappeared and
‘ left the growth very small. Michael
