guests of Mr. J. L. Williamson and
family last Sunday.

Mrs. Lucy Carr of Maysville Is spend
ing the' week in town with relatives.
Mr. J. N. Holder has returned home
from Gaiuesville, and is improving.
Mrs. T. C. Pendergrass has returned
home from a visit to her mother, in
Norwood.
Miss Kyle Thurmond has returned to
her home in Harmony Grove, after a
pleasant visit to friends and relatives
here.
Mrs. Mary Clements of Bogart, who
has been spending awhile with Judge
Bradbury’s family, has returned homo.
Col. W. C. Howard, of Atlanta, was
in town this week.

John Oliver of Philadelphia, was the
subject, is narrated by him as follows:

The latest event that has shaken the
citadel of Tallassee and mcved the

Thursday night at 8 o’clock at the resi
dence of the bride was the uniting of
Mr. J. L. Clodfelter aud Miss Alice Pe
terson in the holy bonds of wedlock, the
beautiful and accomplished daughter
of Mr. aud Mrs. Jacob Peterson, Rev.
A. A. Sulivan performing the ceremo
ny. The attendants were Mr. J. T.
Fulcher with Miss Carrie Stumers, Mr.
Ephram Parrott with Miss Susie Peter
son. Mr. Clodfelter is one of the rising
young men aud prosperous yvuug farm
ers of this section.
The bride is one of our most beauti
ful and accomplished young ladies.

to them with the hope that they may
have a happy voyage through thair
