Winder Defeats riaysville.
The Winder ball team went over to
Maysville Tuesday ta play the team at
that place. Oat* boys had so completely
annihilated Jefferson just a week pre
vious, that they went over to Maysville
with the determination to do the same
grand act. It is useless to say they did
it to perfection and came back home
flushed with victory. Maysville called
to her assistance Harmony Grove’s best
players, but it did them no good. They
just couldn’t get there. The score
stood 4t02 in favor of Winder. It will
take a stronger team to defeat our boys
than they have had the pleasure of
meeting so far this season.

bright if the seasons oontinne favorable.
Mr. Dave H. Hutchins, of Senoia,
gladdened the hearts of his many

Up For The Summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Ephram Mathews and
daughter, Miss Bessie, arrived in the.
city Tuesday night, from their home at
Hawkinsville, to spend the summer
here and at his farm near Mulberry.
Mr. Mathews has large interests at
Hawkinsville, but can’t resist the pleas
ure of coining here for the summer
months, where he has always lived un
til a few years ago, and where he can
get the purest air and coolest water to
be found anywhere.

Some Facts.
Some poople think that all advertis>
ing is just to catch people’s
money regardless of truth or principle.
If this was our only idea in advertis
ing, wa promisi you we would now and
forever quit advertising any thing we
keep for sale. We would not have you
think, however, that we are trying to
impress you that we are more honest
than every body else, for we know that
human nature is more or less the same
whereaer yon find it.
BUT TO THE POINT;
We now have on our bargain counter
230 pairs Women’s and Children’s
Shoes both low and which we
are going to sell regardless of cost.
We also have on our bargain connter
up stairs 200 pairs of Men's Shoes which
we propose to sell regardless of cost. In
other words, a general cleaning np sale
of Shoes.
In these job lots we do not promise
yon all sizes, but some of them are just
as good styles as any store has in Shoes.
If in these job lots, we can not fit
you, we can fit yon from'*our regnlar
stock in just as good and stylish Shoes
as can be found from the best leading
shoe manufactures.
This is no song and dance or child’s
play; we mean what we say. We con
gratulate ourselves on the fact that oar
Shoe trade is continually increasing—
especially in fine goods. The only ex
planation is, we sell fine Shoes oheaper
than oar competitors do,
