A fine home-coming day was spent at
: the Christian church here last Sun-
May. A large crowd was present during
The day and a most excellent program
in honor of Mother was rendered. The
morning hours were spent in interest
ing aud helpful sougs, recitations and
reading, and during tue afternoon
talks were made by different ones, sev
t'etal of them being visiting member's.
We were also favored with some very
interesting talks by several of the stu
dents from the Southeastern Christian
college at Auburn. Mists Geraldine Par
'ker of Auburn, sang a beautiful song
during the afternoon exercises. Rev.
/•Ino. A'. Thomas, the pastor of this
church, preached a splendid sermon at
‘the 41 o'clock hour.
A great dinner was spread on tables
near the church at the noon hour and
The crowd was abundantly fed. This is
a tine church and we are glial to know
that it is doing a fine work.

Something Worth Reading
Athens, Tenn. —“I suffered from
chronic bronchitis for six years and when
I had the ‘flu’ in 1919, my cough grew
worse. I soon developed asthma. I suf
fered terribly and was sure I had con
sumption. I had a very bad cblor, could
not sleep at night and” had pains in my
breast and shoulders. Also my arm3
would be numb. I began taking Dr.
Pierce’s Golden Medical Discovery and
was cured of my cough. I worked all last
winter —was up at night with my pa
tients and did not have a cold all winter.

Whooping Cough.
This is a very dangerous disease, par
ticularly to children under five years of
age, but when no paregoric, codeine or
other opiate is given, is easily cured by
giving Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy.
Most people believe that it must run
its course, not knowing that the time
is very much shortened, and that there
is title danger from the disease when
this remedy is given. It has been used
in many epidemics of whooping cough,
with pronounced success. It is safe and
pleasant to take. —advertisement.
