county, sitting for County purposes. It
Is hereby ordered that one and 50-100,
t$ 1 50) dollars on the One Hundred
tlollais ($100.00) of the taxable prop
erty of said county ' per digest of
15:22, be, and the same is hereby levied
unit that the same be collected by the
Tax Collector, for the following pur
pises, to-wit:
Ist. Eighty-five cents (85) on the
Hundred Dollars to pay the ls“gal in
debtedness due, or to la-come due (lur
ing the year 1922, or past due.
2nd. Nineteen cents (19c) on the
hundred dollars to repair jail or court
house, bridges or ferries, public roads,
or any other public building improve
ments according to contract.
3rd. Four and four-fifths (4 45)
on the hundred dollars to pay [Sheriff,
.lalterator other officers’ fees, that they
may be legally entitled to out of the
county.
4th. One-fifth of one cent on the
hundred dollars to pay Coroner's fees
that may he due them by the county
for holding inquests.

lars to pay expenses of the county for
bailiffs at Court, non-resident witness
es in criminal cases, fuel, servant hire,
stationery and the like.
Oth. Five cents on the hundred dol
lars to pay jurors a per diem compen
sation.
7th. One cgnt on the hundred dol
lars to pay expenses incurred in sup
porting tlie poor of the county, and as
otherwise prescribed by law.
Kill. Twenty-eight fonts <m the Inm
elred dollars to pay the interest if the
public *leht falling due the present year
and to provide a sinking fund for fur
ther installments for the bonded debts
of said county.
9th. Two Cents on the hundred dol
lars to pay Vital Statistic Local Regis
li-nrs, for reporting births and deaths of
flu* county, and to pay water and light
expenses.
(a) It is further ordered that, in
to the above named tax levy
that a special tax levy lie made in
compliance with an order made by the
county Hoard of Education, and it is
hereby ordered that Thirty-live cents
on tlie one hundred dollars of the tax
able property of said county as per di
gest of 1922, exclusive of t lie City of
Minder, Ga., for educational purposes
for said Harrow county.
Making in the aggregate the sum of
One and 50-100 Dollars on the SIOO on
all the taxable property of said county

EXECUTOR’S SALE.
By virtue of an order from the court
of Ordinary of Jackson county, provid
ing for sale in Winder, will be sold at
public outcry on the first Tuesday in
November, 1922, at the Court House
door in Winder, Barrow county, Ga.,
between tlie legal hours of sale, the
following described property, to-wit:
A certain Lot and parcel of land,
situated, lying and being in the coun
ty of Barrow, in the city of Winder,
situated on the east side of Center
street; fronting Center street 153 feet
and running back 150 feet deep with
practically the same width at the rear
as the front; bounded on the north by
lot of Clyde Williamson, on the east by
lots of Craft and Eavenson, on the
South by lot of W. J. Jones, Jr. and
on the west by Center street.

late Thomas M. Foster, deceased.

Smith on that farm in Auburn dis
trict, said county, known as the J. E.
Smith farm containing 148 acres, more
or less, said crops being described as
8 to 10 acres of cotton and about 15
acres of corn, both ungatliered in field
on said place, estimated to make half
to three fourths if bale of cotton and
about 100 bushels corn, being all of
crops on said place exempt crops
claimed by W. C. Smith and M. T. Nor
ris.

ecution issued from the Superior
Court of Barrow county in favor of
W. A. Hill and against W. H. Brewer,
said property being in possesion of W
H. Brewer.

Property pointed out in quit claim
deed reconveying the said property to
W. H. Brewer for purpose of levy and
sale.

SHERIFFS SALE.

Will be sold before the Court House
door in the City of Winder, said State,
and county, at public outcry, between
the legal hours of sale on the First
Tuesday fin November, 1922, to the
highest and best bidder for cash, the
following described property to-wit:
“All that tract or parcel of land,
situate, lying and being in Barrow
county, Georgia, but formerly in Gwin
nett county, Georgia, and bounded us
follow)!: North by ilands of T. C.
Flanigan ; east by lands of E. V. Pool,
south by lands of John Clack and Lovic
Pharr; west by lands of J. VV. Clack,
being the farm whereon said J. E.
) Smith now resides, and is located about

• Ga., This tract of land contains one
| hundred and forty-eight (148) acres
'more or less.”
The above land was conveyed by J.
E. Smith to The Georgia Loan & Trust
Company, a corporation of Macon,
Georgia, to secure the debt on which
this judgment and fi fa is based and a
quit-claim deed has been made by the
Montpelier Savings Bank & Trust Cos.
to J. E. Smith and filed and recorded
in the Clerk’s office of said county as
provided by law. Written notice has
been given to defendant, ,J. E. Smith,
as provided by law. The foregoing
land is levied on under a fi. fa. issued
from Barrow Superior Court, State of
Georgia, at the September Term, 1922,
in favor of Montpelier Savings Bank
& Trust Company against J. E. Smith
for the sum of $4,000.00 principal,
$45)5.44 interest up until Sept. 25th,
022, and also the sum of $449,50 for
(attorney’s fee, and for the further
sum ofs for court costs, with
interest on said several sums from
Sept. 25th, 1922, at 8 per cent per an
num from the 25th day of September,
1922.
