, and THE BARROW TIMES
Notice!
SO many of our debtors are falling
behind with their accounts, excus
ing themselves behind the cloak of
“hard times,” or taking advantage of
the law by going into bankruptcy, or
moving away, etc., that the time has
come when the undersigned pliysiciansr
are forced to call a halt, and to ask our
debtors to seriously consider their best
interests before they try to beat their
debts. Therefore this is to give notice
to all that after January Ist, 1923, we
will refuse to practice for any one who
goes into bankruptcy, or who does not
make satisfactory arrangements about
their medical accounts prior to that
time. We shall revise our lists at
that time, placing on it all who have
failed to pay us, and this list will be
furnished to each physician in this sec
tion, so that all “deadbeats” will he
known to each doctor. All parties
whose names appear on this list will be
compelled to pay cash for medical at
tention. So if you owe a medical ac
count we advise you to make satisfac
tory arrangements right away. Nothing
is more certain than sicknesis and
death, not even taxes. A serious ac
cident. or a dangerous illness may be
fall you at any hour. If you neglect
this notice you may soon have occasion
to regret it. We regret that it is nec
essary for us to take this step, but self
preservation is the first law of nature,
The expense incident to the practice of
medicine is great, t takes money to
buy medicines, automobiles, gas, oil
tires, pay garage bills, grocery bills,
and taxes and we cannot possibly do
these things on promises that never
come good. We have debts to meet,
taxes to pay, families to feed and to
clothe, and we cannot meet these nec
essary obligations if we work for noth
ing and pay our own expense. Hence
after January Ist, next, our business
will be CASH to all who fail to make
satisfactory arrangements about their
accounts. Worthy charity cases, how
ever, will be given due consideration.
This will be our only notice.

What Shall the Harvest Be?
* t
“For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
• Gulations VI :7.
i
This Is an unchanging law, just as unchanging as the law of
gravity.
If we sow wheat we reap wheat, if we sow or plant corn we reap
corn. A handful of wheat would not feed a family, but if sown and
fertilized would yield a sufficient amount to feed a large family several
days.
The above is just as true with money as anything else. We all
want to accumulate money and the best way to do it is to plant It by
depositing it in a good safe, strong bank, like ours, where it will
I
accumulate and grow.
Let us help you with your money crop.
