"THE O+HEB MAN."
Perhaps he sometimes sliiqsd a hit —
Well, so have you.
Perhaps some things he ought to quit,
Well, so should you.
Perhaps he may have faltered—why?
Why, all men do and so have I,
You must admit, unless you lie,
That so have you.
Perhaps if we would stop'and think.
Both I and you,
When painting someone black as ink,
As some folks do.
Perhaps, if we would recollect.
Perfection we would not expect,
Rut just n man half-way correct,
Like me and you.
I'm just n man who’s fairly good,
I'm just like you.
I've done some* things I never should,
Perhaps like you,
But, thank the Lord, I’ve sense to see,
The rest of men with charity;
They're good enough if good as me—
Say, men like you.

College, Auburn, Ga.
For real Christian Endeavor spirit,
the Southeastern Chris,ian college En

December lfith. the boys and girls in
this institution proved that they could
entertain in a most delightful manner.
The Endeavors gathered in owe of
the society meeting rooms ahout 8:00
o’clock and many games and contests
were enjoyed and most of all, the mu
sic furnished by Miss Finley on the
piano added much to the passing of
the evening. C. E. songs were sung
and afterwards candies, hot chocolates
and cakes were served.

of Christian Church Society, Athens,
Ga were guests of this social affair.
The students of this college have a
wonderful way of doing things and
/they seem as one big family. On
Sunday morning, the hoys and girls
came from their homes on the campus
to the big academic building and
there they have a real Sunday school
with members of the faculty serving
„s teachers. After Sunday school, the
Mission Band, composed of boys and
girls who are planning definite reli
gious work have a meeting and there
discourse plans for better service. Sun
day, December 17tli. the band were
much interested in “Helping others
which was so appropriate just at
Christmas time. Plans were made to
help several needy families by donat
ing clothes and caps for the children.
After Sunday school had ended, the
boys and girls are invited to the par
lors of the girls dormitory and there
they engage in a song with everyone
living some part.
Sunday afternoon, the Endeavors
met in the Sunday school room whore
President G. L. Johnson, gave a short
talk on “Sunshine in <*ir every day
life” and urged the young people to
make this Christmas happier than any
ever before. Mr. Johns.au mso made
brief mention of the monthly service
program which is so enhusiasticaUy
worked with Dixie Endeavors.
Last but not least, comes the Chris
tian Endeavor meeting which is held
at 7:00 o’clock on December 17th, the
Endeavors gave a real Christmas pro
gram willi Miss Loot a McKinney and
Miss Jones singing a beautiful duet.
The C. E. meeting at the college are
always filled with good talks and sing
ing and those young people are hand
ed together for stronger Christian ser
vice.
Mr. Robert AnGio tv, of Augusta,
Ga., is president .if the society; Mi-s
Julia Crossfleld, of Gadsen, Ala..
serves as vice-president, and not a
better worker could he found for this
great place in Christian Endeavor
work i(i tin' college. Miss Leota Mc-
Kinney, who hails from Jacksonville,
Fin., is the enthusiastic secretary and
is a credit for any society to claim,
since she has the spirit along with the
other students and with her deep con
secration does much work for the col
lege organization.
A day at Southeastern Christian
College is like a day in spring. Every

those who pass wonder why the stu

swer comes, “We are expecting to
fiave a greater, bigger and better col
