visited his aunt, Mrs. W. H. Bur

Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Moseman, of
Athens, will make Russell their
home this year. We welcome them
in our midst.
Mr. and Mrs. Florence Bell visit
ed friends in Statham last week.
Mr. W. W. McCullough, of Ma
rietta, surveyed a tract of land in

We all rejoice to know that the
old brick store in our town will l>e
completed in the near future. Mr.
Brownlee, an able contractor, of
Atlanta, has the work in charge.
After a long and painful illness,
Mr. W. 11. Burson died at his home
Sunday afternoon. Funeral servi
ces were conducted at the home
Monday morning by Rev. J. R.
Huff. The body of Mr. Burson
was carried to Chapel for inter
ment.

moved into the house recently va
cated by Mr. J. R. Cox.

Mrs. J. 11. Moseman, Miss Fannie
Mayne Moseman returned Wednes
day to her home near Athens.

their recent illness.

visited friends in our town last

Mrs. W. H. Burson wishes to

cent bereavement.
Miss Mary W. Russell has return
ed to the Normal school at Milledge
ville. Miss Ina did not go hack as
her parents thought the work there
too severe for her present state of
health.

Mr. W. M. Fuller has leturned
from Athens, where he went to take
a short college course.

Perry, of Winder, visited friends
here Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Clifford Wages was the guest
of his father here Sunday and Sun
day night.
Mrs. A- J. Sims fell last week
and hurt herself very badly. Her
many friends hope she has not sus
tained any serious injuries.
So many have requested for Sun
; day school to he reorganized that
it he people of the community have
decided to meet next Sunday and
l reorganize. Let everybody come
out and help us.
Miss Annie Cole was the guest of

Mr. Sidney Maughon, of Winder,
was a visitor here recently.

Mrs, Nancy Duncan, who has

were shopping in Athens Tuesday.
They will begin housekeeping in a
few days near Winder.
Mr. Martin and family have
moved to New Timothy from , near
Gainesville.
Miss Ollie Phillips spent several
days in Winder recently with rela
tives.
Mr. John Lyle and children visit
ed relatives here last week before
leaving for their new home at Smy

Mr. P. L. Duncan was in Ath
ens on business one day this week.
Mr. William Hardigree and
daughter, Miss Fannie, have moved
into their new home here, which
has just been completed,
Mr. P. It. Smith was in Atlanta
on business last week.

Mr. Walter Elder was in New
Timothy last week doing some work

Mr. Herman Hancock and sister,

guests of their aunt, Mrs. E. V.
Hardigree recently.
Mr. Tom Davis returned to his
home in Texas Monday after a few
weeks’ visit to his relatives, Messrs.
T. E. snd P. R. Smith.

Decatur, Ga.
Our school has opened with Mr.
Emory Wages, teacher. Have fifty
pupils on roll, and think we will
have a hundred when all enroll.
Mr. Marcus Me Daniel, and sis
ters, Alma and Ethel, of Omer,
spent Sunday with Mr. Earnest
Miller and sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Rutledge
and family visited their daughter,
Mrs. Early Crow' Sunday.
M iss Eula Mac Sharpton and
sister, Minnie, spent Sunday with
Miss Ermine and Annie Miller.
Mr. 1). R. Mobley, our clever
merchant, made a business trip to
Lawrenceville '.Monday.
Mrs. Nancy Me Donald spent one
day last week with her sister, Mrs.
Maggie Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sharpton
visited Mr. and Mrs. J 11. Johnston
Sunday.
The singing at Mr. J. 11. Hel
ton's Sunday night was enjoyed by
all present.
Mr. H. A. Rutledge killed some
fine hogs Monday.
