We Welcome the Lookers.
Yes, even when we know they
have no intention of purchasing —
at least not at present. Because:
We never like to miss a chance to
do some advertising, and it pleases
us quite a bit to display our goods
for the benefit of lookers. It often
happens that something that we
show proves irresistable —then the
looker becomes a buyer. But as
we said, when l<x>kers only look
our goods are bound to produce an
effect —an effect that may buy and
materilize into business. Showing
people is planting seed in good
ground- Will you be a looker?

In Memory of Mrs. James Smith.
After several months of suffering,
the soul of our dear friend and
neighbor, Mrs. James Smith, de
parted this life for the home beyond
February 3d, 1910. She left her
home in Atlanta last July and went
to her mother’s home, who rendered
untiring efforts towards making her
comfortable, but nothing could stay
the hand of Death.
Mrs. Smith was, before marriage,
Miss I'ink Sellers, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Sellers, and her
friends were nlimbered by her ac
quaintances.
Mrs. Smith was a devoted wife
and mother, and lea vis a young
husband and two dear little irirls,
Mary Alice and Jimmie Lee, several
brothers and sisters, and father and
mother.
The funeral services over the re
mains were held at the home of her
father, the same being conducted
by Rev. J. H. Wood, of Winder.
Interment at Rose Hill.
Mother, our Saviour said, “I will
not leave you comfortless.’’ He
comes, and we are comforted. Oh!
the anguish we feel in the final sep-
aration from those we love. No
Pink, with smiling face, to greet, us
now! But, with tears of blended
sorrow, joy and triumph, we stand
by the new-made mound and say,
“Good-bye, daughter, until we meet
in heaven some sweet day, bye and
bye.” 1 1>.\ Mokkktt.

anticipation of your wants, carefully replenished our stock with those
articles that are essential to the approach of Spring and in keeping with
your needs. Possibly the house needs anew roof, or more likely the
changing of that little, dinky, front veranda to one that is more spaci
ous and presentable in appearance would be worth the while. Also, a
new pair of steps, a tile walk, a picket fence or the judicious use of our
Sun Proof and Peninsular paints on the outside, while a bit of stain and
some hot and cold water colors and tints tastily applied to those dingy
walls, with an occasional cabinet mantel, and a bright, clean set of tile
here and there, will add considerable “class" to tne place. Now, any
or all of this won’t cost much, and is worth more than the price, con
sidering satisfaction, etc. Let us talk further. Our phone is No. 47.
