Miss Stanton Hostess
One of the pretty week-end
parties was that given by Miss
Ermine Stanton Saturday evening
to her guest, Miss Blalock, of Hosch
ton, at the Stanton home on Broad
street.
Both the hostess and the honor
guest are popular and attractive
young ladies and the evening was
spent delightfully bv those invited
to meet Miss Blalock. The guest

Wo-Ha-Lo Club Guests
Misses Ruby and Ruth Carithers
were delightful hostesses to the Wo-
Ha-Lo club last Thursday afternoon.
This beautiful home was made un
usally bright and attractive by vases
of jonquils and ferns which were
placed on pedestals, mantels, etc.
At the close of a most pleasant
faternoon spent in sewing and con*
versations a delightful hot lunch
was served. Those present were:

Rev. and Mrs- John F. Eden, of
Winder, Ga., announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Mary to Mr.
Gerald C. Merchant, of Augusta,
Ga,, the marriage to take place at
the home of the bride’s parents on
March 18, at 6 o’clock in the after
noon,
Miss Nitocris Robinson left Mon
day to visit her aunt, Miss Fannie
Pharr, in Gainesvelle. She will
also go to Buford before returning
to Winder.

daughter, left Tuesday for a two
works’ visit to relatives in Monroe.
