Cotton at 8 To 9 Cents
is too low. We cannot afford to sell it all at that, but some of us will have to sell some of it. If you
can buy your goods at prices in proportion to 8 to 9 cent cotton, you can afford to sell enough
to buy what you need. I have just returned from New York where I bought the largest and
best stock of reliable merchandise I have ever had; and best of all, I bougt it at the lowest
prices of the season.
Some of tne merchants say that they are not
going to buy any new goods on account of the low
price of cotton, but \ think if I buy new goods and
get them at lower prices, that they will sell belter
than oid goods.
Things move along so rapidly nowadays that
people who say “it can’t be done” are always be
ing interrupted and surprised by somebody doing
it, and I find the people who do things are the
beople who succeed, and 1 know that you will
want new dresses for your wife and children, so 1
bought a big stock of
DRY GOODS.
The new suit that has been promised must be
bought, and everybody wants the latest
CLOTHING.
To mention all the things I have in stock for you would
take all this paper, so when you want anything in general
merchandise, you will find it he.e at the lowest price for
which it can be sold;
Wath this space for prices next week.

JACKETS.
Much Simpler.
At a country fair out in Kansas a
man went up to a tent where some
elk were on exhibition, and stared
wistfully up at the sign.
"I'd like to go in their,” he said
to the keeper, “but it would be
mean to go ir. without my family,
and 1 can’t afford to pay for my
wife and 17 children.”
The keeper staved at him in
astonishment. "Are all those your
children?” lie gasped.
“Every one,” said the man.
“You wait a minute,” said the
keeper. “I’m going to bring the
elk out and let them see you all.”
