Will Kberhart, colored, was found
dead by the side of a garden fence
just inside the incorporate limits of
Winder, in Jackson county, Friday
morning. There were no evidences
of foul play and the coroner's jury
rendered a verdiet that lie- came to
his death from unknwon causes.

Rev. Scott, the new preacher on
the Pendergrass circuit, filled his
appointment at Ehenezer Sunday
and preached a fine sermon to an
attentive audience.
Mrs. R. J. Hancock, of Athens,
and Mrs. Sam Kelly, of Jefferson,
visited in our. community one day
last week.
Married, Monday afternoon at
the parsonage in Pendergrass, Miss
Lizzie Wood to Mr. Lore White
head. We wish them a long and
hippy life.
We are sorry to say Mr. Charlie
Hancock is right sick. We hope
for him a speedy recovery.
We are glad to say Mr. J. L.
Gregory and family have moved
hack to their home from Jefferson,
where they have lived for the past
year.
Mr. E. A. Scott and wife spent
Sunday night at the home of Mrs.
J. R. Hancock.

This year has l>een a very profit
able one in many ways, notwith
standing the fact it has been a year

Lucie Jackson to Mr. Carl Niblack
took place at the home of the bride’s
parents, Rev. J. 11. Wood of the
Christian church officiating. The
lovely home was most artistically
decorated with holly and magnifi
cent ferns. Before the cen mony
Miss Gussie O'Neal sang the lovely
song, ‘'Because God Made The
Mine. Then to the strains of
Mendelssohn’s wedding march,play
ed by Mrs, Mac Potts, the ribbin
liearcrs, Masters Zaek Jackson,
Wylie (rriffeth, Hayes Griffetfi,
Misses (icrtiiulc Rogers, Beulah
Ferguson and Willie Mae 8 beats,
entered forming an aisle through
which the hriile and groom passed
to the altar, an embankment of
beautiful fern* and greens.
The bride was exquisitely gowm and
in a suit of blue with a hat to mats h
and never appeared to better ad
vantage.
These young people are among
the most popular in Winder, and
the large numl>er of handsome
bridal presents attested the great
love and esteem in which they are
held. Immediately after the cere
mony Mr. and Mrs. Niblaek left
for Atlanta, where they will Ik* for
a few days with the parents of the
groom.
A most delicious supper was
served to the gno3ts, during the in
terval k'tweeu the ceremony and
the departure of the train.
