Ebenezer school begins the first
Monday in July with Miss Essie
(’rook as teacher. She has budded
a good school, having the co-opera
tion of the people. Sbe did well

of no mean degree.

R. R. Russell are visiting friends in
Atlanta this week.

Will Smith, at Russell, Ga., is
the man who grinds good Hour and
meal. He ran a roller mill for
several years, but this heats all
mills.

PARADISE.
The farmers of this section have
been busy this we< k in a battle with
Gen. Green, and while some of the
tall umbrellas have disappeared
from among the cotton in front the
old General has Hanked us on our
right and left and his cohorts are
appearing in the distance to our
rear. Guess the bumblebees will
have a job if they find any blooms
in some of tlfe cotton patches. Still,
perhaps, there is nothing of more
benefit to the south than good

The Walton county gang is up in
this section working the roads. It
lias Ijeen two years since the gang
was her**.
Prof. Fred (1. Dakin, of Winder,
was in our burg twice last week.
Mr. Dave Kcllutn, who had been
ill for some time, died at his home
Sunday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock.
The remains were laid to rest at
Shoal Creek Monday by the o*l*l
Fellows. The bereaved ones have
our deepest sympathy.

Quite a crowd of the girls of the
younger set prepared lunches and
went out to White’s mill Tuesday
and spent the day. Nothing was
