However the crop is short, most
people are about done picking, but
yet we have not sold any. Expect
ing 18 and a little more.
A goodly number from here will
attend the all day singing at White
Plains next Sunday.
We hope some of those Atlanta
good roads men will come through
this part of the field. I’m sure
they wouldn’t find none of that
kind.
Ye scribe is improving some.
There is some tall> of a secret
wedding here ,_ but don’t tell any

Say! just what about a man who

Miss Marelle Barnett, of Perry-
Rainey Institute, will give a birth
day dinner at her home on next
Sunday. Many are invited and
will go.
There is some talk of broadening
this end of the G. M. Ry. This
however,will lx- a great convenience
to the people along the line, and
moest especialy the transference sta
tions. We have been informed that
the work will begin about Jan. 1.
So you can look out for the train

The farmers are busy this beauti
ful weather trying to get their cotton
out.
Rev. J. P. Eley gave his friends

week, and a delightful supper aftei
wards which was highly enjoyed by
all present.
Rev. Glenn Davis and family, of
Center, visited Mr. Will Waters
and family Saturday and Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. George Greason
spent Sunday with the latter’s
parents, Mr- and Mrs. J.M. Roberts,
of Ebenezer.
The all day services at Ebenezer
Sunday was well attended. Rev.
A- E. Stott occupied the pulpit in
the morning and Rey. Stone, of
Jefferson, in the afternoon. Every
body seemed to enjoy the day.
Misses Ruth Eley and Bluford

Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Fite and
daughter, Ruth, of Statham, visited
the latter’s mother, Mrs. J. M. John
son, Sunday.

Sunday school at Ebenezer every
