WARE MAYNE WEDDING.
The Wedding of Miss Nina Ware,
of Lawrenceville, to Mr. Claud
Mayne, of Winder, was the brilliant
social event of Lawrenceville this
week.
The wedding was solemnized at
the pretty home of Mrs. W. H.
Ware at 5:30 Wednesday afternoon
in the presence of a large number
of relatives and admiring friends.
The reception hall and parlor
were decorated with garlands of
twining ivy, so symbolic of happy
wedded life, and quanities of smil
ax, ferns and palms added to the
profuse decorations. The color
scheme of green and white was also
carried out in the drawing room,
where the many handsome presents
were displayed.
In the parlor an improvised arch
of clinging vines enhanced the im
posing background of asparagus,
ferns and palms, where the happy
couple stood.
The bride and groom entered the
parlor to the inspiring strains of
Mendelssohn’s wedding march,play
ed by Mr- Willie Mayne.
The solemn ceremony was pro
nounced in a very impressive man
ner by Rev- J. H. Wood, of Win
der. Mrs. Samuel G. Brown, ac
companied by Mr. Willie Mayne on
the violin, rendered the beautiful
song so rich in sentiment, “All for
Von.”
The bride was attired in a travel
ing suit of dark brown, which was
very becoming to her brunette type
of lieauty and which emphasized the
grace and symmetry of her form.
She carried a magnificent shower
boquet of bride’s roses and maiden
hair ferns, and the streamers of the •
tulle were caught up by lillies of
the valley.
Mrs. Ware, in handsome black
silk, was assisted in receiving by
her daughters, Mrs. J. T. Woodruff,
Mrs. Santuel Sherard and Miss Julia
Ware. The latter Was exceedingly
charming in her exquistid gown of
lavender silk.
The punch bowl was presided
over by Misses Eula Rogers and
Marguerite Richardson. A delicious
salad course was served, after which
the happy couple left for Atlanta. —
