MULBERRY ASSOCIATION
IN SESSION AT SHARON
The Mulberry Baptist Associa
tion met in annual session yester
day for two days, with Rev. S. P.
Ili ggins, Moderator.
The sessions are being held with
Sharon church, this county, and
the association composes 21 church
cs and about 3,000 members.
One of the important matters to
be arranged is the corraling of all
the churches in groups so that
none of them may he without a pas
tor. a matter in which the modera
tor and others are very much in
terested.
Great results are expected from
the present session of the associa
tion.

Extension of the work of the
Georgia Children's Home s v;iety,
the institution which Cuds homes
in private families for orphan chil
dren and children whose parents
are unable to care for them —into
every county of the state of Geor
gia is the plan of those m, charge
of the work of the Society.
Sidney T. Braman, of Atlanta,
field'representative of the society
was in Winder on Tuesday pre
senting the work of the institution
to several of the leading men and
women of this city. According to
Mr. Braman. who is in charge of
developing the work in the eight li
Congressional district and part of
the ninth, the society lias been car
rying on its work in nearly every
county in a limited way with dona
tions from those persons who are
familiar with the work that has
been done for helpless children.
More money is needed for its pres
ing obligations and to meet con
stant dentands that are being made
upon it from every section of Kcor
gia.
This work does not belong to any
community or to any section of t lie
state any more than to anotleer,
said Mr. Bramen. It serves the
mountain districts as well as tin
low fertile country in the south
ern sections. It serves the rural
districts as well as the cities. It
aimers any call according to its
ability and means.”
“It has temporarily aided over
1.000 children and placed 800
homeless children in permanent
homes. It is a clearing house or
distributing center for children
who need homos. The society
makes it its business to fil'd good
homes for them and to keep in
touch with their progress after
ward. to see that they are proper
ly treated.”

1920-21 and Mr. Braman has nam
