terest to Winder people, which lias
already taken place but not re
ported to the public, is being whis
pered. Who are the contracting
parties is a matter that would like
to be known by many.
MEMORIAL SERVICE.
A beautiful and appropriate ser
vice was held at. the Christian
church Sunday morning in memo
ry of their former pastor; Rev. R.
E. Moss, who passed into the great
beyond on November 14th, in the
city of Nashville, Tenn.
The church was taautifully dec
orated in palms, ferns and white
chrysanthemums. The music was
rendered by a mixed quartette
composed of Mr. Claud Mayne,
Mrs. Mac Potts, Mrs. Paul Autry
and Mr. I. E. Jackson. Sweet and
touching talks were made by Rev.
Jno. H. Wood, who had charge of
the service. Mr. J. M. Jackson,
Mr. Claud Mayne and Rev. T. C.
Buchanan and Mrs. Jno. 11. Wood.
Mr. Claud Mayne sang in his usu
al impressive manner “Tennyson’s
Crossing the Bar.” The services
dosed with the quartette, ‘Some
Day We’ll Undertand.”
