A GOOD PREACHER DEAD,
Rev.J, P. Lyou, a Primative
Baptist preacher, well known to
many Butts county people died at
his home in Upson county two
weeks ago. He was a noted minis
ter in Towaliga primitive baptist
association, and was pastor of Lib
erty church near where the writer
was raised, for several years before
the war. It was with his hands
that we we were ‘‘buried with Christ
in baptism. He has gone to his re
ward.
