HON. L L. RAINEY
JACKSON VISITOR
Hon. E. L. Rainey, of Dawson,
editor of the Dawson News and
member of the Prison Commis
sion, was a prominent visitor to
Jackson Tuesday, having come
down to visit the convict camp.
In company with Commissioner
Gaston and Sheriff Crawford Mr.
Rainey was driven out to the
camp about nine miles from town.
He made an official inspection of
the camp and looked over the
men and equipment. The Butts
county camp has long been rec
ognized as one of the best mana
ged in the entire state.
Mr. Rainey has many loyal
friends and supporters in Butts
county and the times he has been
before the people for election his
supporters here complimented
him with a substantial majority.
Mr. Rainey is one of the most
popular members of the Prison
Board and is besides the editor
of one of Georgia’s best weekly
papers, the Dawson News.

TREAT CATTLE FOR
TICKS BEFORE FAIR
The committee on Live Stock
of the Butts County Fair wishes
to announce that cattle must be
treated for ticks before they can
be shown at the fair.
Cattle owners without dipping
vats may rid their cattle of ticks
by applying crude oil. Grease of
any kind will destroy the ticks,
and this is an inexpensive treat
ment.
A considerable portion of the
county is tick free and this rule
is made to prevent the spread of
the cattle tick.
Those desiring to exhibit hogs
at the fair are requested to treat
them for lice.

Cole’S Original Hot Blast
——■ 1 iwirim 'law—■——
is a double stove—a heavy durable heating stove slipped inside of
the powerful radiating body which radiates all the heat. This re
markable construction makes an absolutely air-tight stay-tight heater
which holds fire from Saturday night until Monday morning. This
guaranteed stay-tight construction in connection with our Hot Blast
fuel saving draft makes our guaranteed great fuel economy possible.
The Many Feet of
Leaking Joints

explains why imitation hot blast heaters
and stoves with other fuel saving devices
are not guaranteed to remain air-tight
always, as is Cole’s Hot Blast.
