MOTHER! HIVE CHILD „
“STROP OF FIBS IF
TONGUE IS COATED
If cross, feverish, sick, bil
ious, clean little liver
and bowels
Children love this “fruit laxa
tive, ” and nothing else cleanses
the tender stomach, liver and
bowels so nicely.
A child simply will not stop
playing to empty the bowels, and
the result is, they become tight
ly clogged with waste, liver gets
sluggish, stomach sours, then
your little one becomes cross, half
sick, feverish, don’t eat, sleep
or act naturally, breath is bad,
system full of cold, has sore
throat, stomach-ache orldiarrhoea.
Listen, Mother! See if tongue is
coated, then give a teaspoonful
of “California Syrup of Figs,”
and in a few hours all the consti
pated waste, sour bile and undi
gested food passes out of the sys
tem. and vou have a well playful
child again.
Millions of mothers give Cali
fornia Syrup of Figs,” because it
is perfectly harmless; children
love it and it never fails to act
on the stomach, liver and bowels
Ask your druggist foraso-ceut
bottle of “California Syrup of
Figs.” which has full directions
for babies, children of all ages
and for grown-up plainly printed
on the bottle. Beware of coun
terfeits sold here. Get the gen
uine, made by “California Fig
Syrup Company.” Refuse any
other kind with contempt.

DEMONSTRATOR
NOW AT WORK
Mr. Rice Arrived in City
Last Week
AN EXPERIENCED MAN
New Agent Hard at Work
Helping Corn Club Boys
Gather Acres For The
Approaching Contents
Mr. G. E. Rice, the new farm
demonstration agent, arrived in
Jackson last week from Baldwin
county where he has been en
gaged for the past year. Mr.
Rice was to have reached here
several davs ago, but found it im
possible to turn loose the work in
Baldwin county as early as he
had expected.
With several years experience
in laboratories during which time
particular attention was given to
experiments with fertilizers and
soil fertility, Mr. Rice is well
qualified to fill the duties of a
farm demonstrator. He is a hard
and willing worker and has taken
hold of the situation in Butts
county in a manner that has
favorably impressed all who have
come in contact with him.
Just now Mr. Rice is working
overtime trying to get the mem
bers of the Boys Corn club lined
up for the fair which opens next
week. When he arrived on the
scene a good many boys had not
gathered their acres, but that
matter has been attended to and
he will have that department in
good shape by the opening of the
fair Tuesday.
Mr. Rice is receiving valuable
assistance from Prof. Hugh Mal
let and other officials, and will
have the co-operation of the peo
pie of the entire county.
