LIVESTOCK TRAIN
HERE MONDAY
Fine Exhibits Coming to
Jackson
The Livestock Train coming to
Jackson next Monday morning
will present an opportunity for
the farmers and business men of
Butts county to sse and study
some of the successful phases of
the livestock industry of Georgia.
It will show you in concrete form
what is being done, and will ex
plain what can be done with our
native stock.
It has been my pleasure to visit
and study the exhibits on this
train, as the cars were loaded be
fore leaving the College of Agri
culture and I cannot emphasize
too strongly the importance of
every farmer coming to witness
this wonderful exhibit of live
stock and listen to the college ex
perts who will explain in detail
the features of this display.
The train is loaded with pure
bred cattle representing severa
breeds of both hogs and cattle.
The thorough bred Percheron
horses will be inspiration to ev
eryone.
Besides the car of livestock
there is a car of eereals, hays,
pasture grasses, and other feed
stuffs beautifully displayed and
explained by placards. I am sure
the wonderful combinations of
pasture grasses actually growing,
showing their green colors, will
interest you.
It is impossible to tell you how
important it is for you to visit
this train if you are interested in
Upbuilding your farm and the
county. It will be the best four
hour’s work you have spent this
year. I urge you to come and
bring your friends.
Respectfully,
G. E. RICE,
Agricultural Agent.

'Telephone Saved Child’s Life
One of the children fell into a water tank on
an Alabama farm and was rescued unconscious and
apparently lifeless. The frantic mother rushed to
the telephone and called the doctor six miles away.
He told her what to do and started at once, but
before he arrived the child was out of danger.
The protection of women and children is only
one of the chief values of the telephone on the
farm.
You can have this service at small cost. See
the nearest Bell Telephone Manager or send a
postal for our free booklet.
