MRS. L. E. STEPHENS
PASSES TO BEYOND
Mrs. L. E. Stephens passed
away at her home in Pepperton
Monday afternoon at 2:20 o’clock.
She was stricken suddenly and
expired in a short time, suppos
edly from an affection of the
heart.
Mrs. Stephens was 43 years old
and before her marriage was Miss
Lizzie Turner, of Ellenwood. She
was a member of the Methodist
church and was a most excellent
Christian character who was held
in the highest esteem by all her
large circle of friends by whom
her death is greatly deplored.
Surviving Mrs. Stephens are
her husband. Mr. L. E. Stephens,
six children and other relatives
The remains were taken to Ei
lenwood and interred in the Tur
ner Cemetery, Wednesday after
noon. Rev. Mr. Carmichael of
the Stockbridge Methodist church
conducted the funeral services.
