“I want to tell you what wonderful benefit 1 have re
ceived from the use of Black-Draught,” writes
Mrs. Sylvania Woods, of Clifton Mills, Ky.
“It certainly has no equal for la grippe, bad colds,

saved my little girl’s life. When she had the measles,
they went in on her, but one good dose of Thedford’s

Nashville Woman Tells of
Remarkable Recovery
When They Said She
Would Die
“When I lay flat on my back
with nervous prostration, the doc
tor told my neighbors that he
could do nothing more for me.
and that I would die,” said Mrs.
Sarah Lavery, of 103 Ohio street,
Nashville. ‘‘For days I was un
conscious, but was determined to
live. I held on with all the will
power I could summon.
“When I got over the worst of
this I found myself a confirmed
invalid. My stomach was simply
torn all to pieces, and was so un
strung I wanted to burst outcry-,
ing if anybody as much as crook- >
ed their finger at me. I have
been in a bad fix this way for a
longtime. I would haveseverei
pains upon eating the least little
thing and then would have fear-*
ful sick headaches and dizzy
spells. My kidneys seemed to be
affected, and I began to have
rheumatism of the very worst,
kind. My joints would swell up,
and my hands would all puff. On
damp days I could hardly stand
the pain. Besides, I couldn’t
sleep, and had no appetite. I fell
awav until it scared me to weigh.’
Nothing helped me. I had to quit
knitting because my hands were
so weak and swollen. I feared
I didn’t have long for this world.
“I began taking Tanlae, and,
sir, I wouldn’t take $lO a bottle
for the good it is doing me. I be
gan to improve from the very
start. I can eat anything without
the least discomfort, my rheuma
tism is disappearing, and my
nerves are as quiet as a lamb. I
do my knitting and am in agoodf
humor all the time. I feel as
well as I did years ago, and I ex
pect to live to a good old age. I
