estate of J. R. Wright, deceased, hav
ing filed his petition for discharge, this
is to cite all persons concerned to show
cause against the granting of this dis
charge, if any they have at the regular
term of the Court of Ordinary for said
county to be held on the first Monday
in August, 1916.

NOTICE OF LOCAL LEGISLATION
An act to amend the charter of the
City of Jackson, approved Aug. 8, 1908,
and the acts amendatory thereto, so as
to extend the corporate limits on the
‘South limits of said City of Jackson by
adding thereto the Fair Grounds to said
corporation.
Also to amend said charter so as to
give to the City of Jackson and its au
thorities and representatives and au
thorized agents the right to sell and to
extend its water pipes and mains and
electric lines beyond the limits of said
city and for other purposes.
Also to amend said charter of the
City of Jackson, approved Aug. 8, 1908,
and the acts amendatory thereto, by
amending section 89 of said acts by
striking out the words “fifty” dollars
and inserting therein the words “two
hundred" dollars.

The Cork school opened Monday
with Miss Beatrice Williams as teach
er. Miss Williams is a very pleasant
young lady and is sure to give satisfac
tion as a teacher.
Misses Annie and Edith Smith were
visitors here last week.
Misses Sarah and Ruby Ward gave
a most enjoyable card party and candy
pulling Friday evening.
Messrs. Williams and Cole from
Jackson were in Cork Sunday after
noon.
Mrs. Martha Camps of College Park
is visiting Mrs. R. Van. Smith and
family.
Mrs. Martin and little daughter,
Mary, from Berner, spent Tuesday
with Mrs. Frank Ogletree.
