IS CALLED BY DEATH
Little Annette Jamerson, aged
10, oldest daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. L. P. Jamerson end grand
daughter of Mrs P. R. Watkins,
of this city, died Monday morn
ing at the home of her parents in
Atlanta. The tody was brought
to Jackson Tuesday afternoon for
interment, the short funeral ser
vice at the grave being conduct
ed by Rev. Olin King Mr. and
Mrs. Jamerson are former resi
dents of Jackson and have many
warm friends who deeply sympa
thize with them in their great
sorrow.

Whereas the Getioni. assembly at **s

to the Constitution of tliis Stale as set
forth in an act approved August is,

AN ACT
To amend Article 6, Section IS, Para
graph 2, ot the Constitution of this
tVaic, so as to authorize the General
Assembly, by a majority vole ot eacii

hereby enacted by the authority of the

abolish the fees accruing to the office of
Solicitor General, In any particular Ju
dicial Circuit, and In lieu thereof, to
prescribe a salary for such office, in ad
dition to the salary prescribed in para
graph 1 of ttds section of this Article,
and without regard to the uniformity of
•ueh salaries in the various circuits;
and shall have the further power to de
termine what disposition shall he made
of the lines, forfeitures ami fees accru
ing to the office of Solicitor General, in
any such Judicial Circuit, where the
fees arc abolished;'' so that said para
graph 2, of said section, of said Article,
when so amended, will read as follows.
"Paragraph 2. The General Assembly
tnay at any time, by a two-thirds vote
of each branch, prescribe other and dif
ferent salaries for any or ull of the
above officers, but no such chunge snail
affect the officers then In commission;

by a majority vote of each branch, to
abolish the fees at present accruing to
the office of Solicitor General, In any
particular Judicial Circuit, and in lieu

the newspapers in each Congressional

the Governor shall make proclamation

Sec. 3. Be it further enacted, that
all laws and parts of laws in conflict
with this act be, and the same are,
hereby repealed.
Now, therefore. 1. Nat E. Harris, Gov
ernor of said State, do Issue this my
proclamation hereby declaring that the
foregoing proposed amendment to the
Constitution is submitted for ratifica
tion or rejection to the voters of the
State Qualified to vote for members of
the General Assembly at the general
election to be held on Tuesday, Novem
ber 7. 1916.
