Announcement that Mallet & Nutt

The Butts Lumber Company will
pass out of existence. The company
was organized in 1910, with a capital
stock of SIO,OOO. Several local busi
ness men were stockholders. The
company, it is said has never been a
money maker, and has been in a bad
way financially for several years.
The new owners will establish a
modern and thoroughly equipped
lumber and coal business in Jackson.
They plan to carry at all times large
stocks of lumber and building mate
rials, coal and wood, and will endeav
or to meet the demands of the people
of this and surrounding territory.
The need for a business of that nature
has long been apparent in Jackson.
Mr. W. P. Nutt will give his time
to the lumber, coal and wood busi
ness.
The fertilizer business will be han
dled at Mallet & Nutt’s warehouse,
near the depot. Mr. B. F. Watkins
and Mr. Hugh Mallet will give their
attention to this part of the business,
and will also have the help of Mr. W.
P. Nutt. The same reliable brands of
fertilizer that have an established
reputation throughout the county will
continue to be handled.
The consolidation of these business
interest will no doubt meet with suc
cess from the start. The members of
he firm are all well-known and prom
inent in business circles and enjoy the
confidence and esteem of the people
of the county.

BILLY SUNDAY LIKENS THE
KAISER TO ANTI-CHRIST
Second Coming of Chriat Pictured by
The Evangelist
Keeping up his attacks on the kaiser,
which he started in Atlanta, Billy
Sunday is now waking up Washington
City with his vigorous sermons. He
likens the kaiser to the “Anti-christ”
that will hold sway in Jerusalem dur
ing the “period of tribulation.”
The evangelist pictures Christ’s
second coming in this manner: The
meeting in the air of Christ and those
living on earth who belive in Him;
those who died previously, believing
in Him, will be raised, the unbelievers
will remain in their graves; then the
period of tribulation and suffering
and the rule of the Anti-christ and
the devil for a period of years.
Following this will come the Mil
lenium, with the reign of Christ on
earth for 1,000 years. The Jews will
accept Christ. The world will be
without sin and suffering. The devil
will be overthrown and when the
reign of Christ shall end there will be
a general resurrection for all, with
final judgment and the end of the
world.
Billy declares that he can’t figure
when the coming of Christ is to be
staged, but he declares all signs point
to the fact that “the time is near.”
