cash to the farmer the difference be
tween the bushel of com and the 24
lbs. of wheat flour. This payment is
to be in cash. the price of the flour
must not net the retail dealer over
SI.OO per barrel over the cost of
wheat flour and the retailer must not
exchange with any one farmer pro
ducer to exceed 96 lbs. of flour per
month. In other words the farmer
can bring in 4 trips during the month
one bushel of corn and get in ex
change at each of the four times 24
lbs of wheat flour and get the differ
ence in cash each time beteen the
com and the flour. This will allow the
corn farmer to get a normal supply
of flour without working any hard
ships, and will for this farmer set
aside the 50 to 50 basis rule in wheat
flour and other cereals. This ruling is
not applicable to consumers who have
flour on hand in quantities of more
than their normal requirements for
30 days. The above is as regards a
swap; of course nothing prevents the
farmer selling his com in any quan
tity he pleases, and he then can go
into the store and buy flour and meal
under the 50 to 50 plan. This swap
ping of com must not be done except
for the absolute com rower; it is not
a rule applying to the general public.

GIRLS! IIS YOUR
STEP THAI ATTRACTS!
Says Women Pay Too Much
Heed to Their Face Instead
of Their Corns
Watch your step! A brisk, lively
step is what charms more than a
lovely skin, but your high heels have
caused corns and you limp a little.
That’s bad, girls, and you know it.
Corns destroy beauty and grace, be
sides corns are very easy to remove.
Rid your feet of every com by ask
ing at any drug store for a quarter
of an ounce of freezone. This will
cost little but is sufficient to remove
every hard or soft com or callus
from one’s feet.
A few drops applied directly upon
a tender, touchy com relieves the
soreness and soon the entire com,
root and all, lifts right out without
pain.
This freezone is a gummy sub
stance which dries instantly and sim
ply shrivels up the com without in
flaming or even irritating the sur
rounding skin.
Women must keep in mind that
comless feet create a youthful step
which enhances her attractiveness,

ANOTHER “FUELLESS DAY IS
OBSERVED IN JACKSON
Part of Stores Stay Open During
the Day
Jackson observed its third “fuel
less” Monday by a part of the stores
keeping open as usual. Some estab
lishments closed at noon, while others
fought it out all day. On account of
the severe weather all places that re
mained o pen had to use fuel.
Manufacturing establishmnts were
closed.
The state and national fuel admin
istrations have issued so many orders
and counter orders the past few days
that it takes an expert to keep posted
on the latest official information.
