FEED OUT YOUR HOGS SIX
WEEKS EARLIER
In every lot of hogs on feed two or
three weeks quickly and actually eat
less than others. If all would fatten
like these, the entire drove would be
ready for the market six weeks
earlier and to save six weeks feed is
an item that you fully understand.
The hog that fattens easily must be
in prime physical condition. The B.
A Thomas’ Hog l’owder is a condi
tioner for hogs. It keeps their system
clean and healthy and enables them
to fatten quickly without falling prey
to the usual diseases of hogs. The B.
A. Thomas’ llog Powder is not stock
food. It’s straight medicine and we
took the agency because it enables
you to feed out your hogs much ear
lier.

Washington, March 3.—Temporary
suspension of the meatless meal and
of the special restrictions against pork
on Saturday was announced by the
food administration tonight as a re
adjustment of its food conservation
program. Increased meat production
and the necessity for still greater sav*.
ing wheat, it was declared, make the
change advisable.
The suspension is made effective
for an indefinite period,*nnd it prob
ably will last for three months or
longer.
Since all restrictions on consump
tion of mutton and lamb had been
: lifted previously the food administra
tion now asks the public for the time
being to deny itself in meats only
beef-and pork on one day a week—

George Manley Writes He Is Confident
of Making Good
The friends of Mr. George Manley,
catcher on last year’s Jackson baseball
team, will be interested to know that
he is to get a tryout with the Atlanta
team of 'the Southern league. Mr.
Manley has been playing ball in his
section for several years and is re
garded as one of the best amateur
catchers in the country. He writes
that he is confident he will make good
in fast company and his friends wish
him the best of luck.
The Atlanta Constitution of Tues
day speaking of Mr. Manley said:
“Catcher Manley, a youngster from
Jackson, who is of the opinion that
there are no better catchers than he,
is to receive a tryout with the Crack
ers. He put the proposition up to
Mr. Frank in such a way Monday that
the Dutchman told him >to report
March 25.
“All Manley asks is a chance to
show what he has, and he’s confident
of his ability to beat out someone
for the place. ‘Go to it, kid,’ the
Dutchman told him. ‘lf you can de
liver you will get the place. Don’t
worry about that.’ ”
A Perfect Baby
To possess a literally perfect child Is
by no means impossible. The expectant
mother should be calm and the days should
be filled with sunshine and happiness.
Millions of women have used the safe,
external, penetrating preparation known
as “Mother’s Friend”. By its use the
abdominal muscles, which nature is ex
panding, relax .easily when baby Is born.
