SOCIAL REALM
MARCH
Oh, March is a tricky fellow—
A tricky, troublesome sprite;
He will be mild as a lamb by day,
And fierce as a lion by night.
He rushes about with a clatter and
bang
i And makes 'the echoes ring,
And lays his mouth to the doors of th
flowers
And roars: “Come out, I am
spring!”
—Elizabeth Gregg.

matter of getting patriotic song
books in the schools of the country
was taken up and several committees
appointed. Miss Lucy Goodman made
a splendid talk on “Conservation,”
the following extracts being incorpo

“To be an American is not simply
a piece of good luck; it is a priceless
privilege, to be paid for in loyalty
and love, and with life if occasion re
quires.
“The liberty you now enjoy is the
result of the Declaration of indepen
dence signed in 1776. Let your chil
dren enjoy the liberty of anew De
claration signed by you in 1917.
“If independence was worth the
lives, the fortunes and the sacred
honor of our ancestors, is it not worth
a little self-denial and economy by us?
“Enlist now for the defense of
yourself, your family and your home.
“Our forefathers grasped the mus
ket to repel the invader. Even now,
thousands of our yung men are in
arms to protect our homes against a
foreign foe. Those of us who are not
in the field should do all in our power
to aid Uncle Sam. It is our duty to
our country.
“You will have to fight habit and
circumstances, but your forefathers
fought and conquered.”

Bad and Stomach Sour
Get a 10-cent box now.
You men and women who can’t get
feeling right—who have headache,
coated tongue, bad taste and foul
breath, dizziness, can’t sleep, are bil
ious, nervous and upset, bothered
with a sick, gassy, disordered stom
ach, or have a bad cold.
Are you keeping your bowels clean
with Cascarets, or merely forcing a
passagew'ay every few days with
salts, cathartic pills or castor oil?
Cascarets work while you sleep;
cleanse the stomach, remove the
sour, undigested fermenting food and
foul gases; take the excess bile from
the liver and carry out of the system
all the constipated waste matter and
poison in the bowels.
A Cascaret to-night will straighten
you out by morning—a 10-cent box
from any drug store will keep your
stomach sweet, liver and bowels reg
ular, and head clear for months.
Don’t forget the children. They love
Cascarets because they taste good
