Miss Hanson Becomes
Bride of Bill Pelt
Miss Pamela Hanson and
Mr. Bill Pell were wed in an
impressive garden ceremony
at 7:30 in the evening,
Saturday, July 31, at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Headley, 200 Jackson Street,
Newnan, Georgia.
The bride is daughter of
Mrs. William Davis, 54 West
Circle, Northport, Alabama,
and Mr. Thomas E. Hanson,
3402 Freda Lane, Huntsville,
Alabama. The groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Pelt, 414 E. Freeman Street,
Jackson, Georgia.
Mrs. Sheila Mills, sister of
the bride, was matron of
honor, Miss Randi Spector
was bridesmaid, and Miss
Dee Dee Taylor was flower
girl. The matron of honor and
bridesmaid wore full-length
dresses which reflected the
Bicentennial theme in style
and color scheme. They
carried white lace baskets of
red carnations, blue baby’s
breath, and stephanotis. The
flower girl wore a blue
peasant-style, full-length
dress covered by a pinafore
of white eyelet and a
matching white eyelet bon
net. Her basket was of red
and blue roses and carnation
petals.
The groom’s father, Mr.
Ernest Pelt, served as best
man. Serving as ushers were
Mr. B. K. Ellis and Donald
Pelt, brother of the groom.
Mrs. Anita Snell rendered
the songs, “Walk Hand in
Hand," “United We Stand,
and “The Prayer of St.
Francis of Assisi,” ac
companied by Mrs. Carolyn
Sale.
The reception was held
inside the home, and the
antebellum decor added
charm to the traditional
Flo villa

ley on Tuesday was Mrs.
Carolyn Redman of Jackson.
Mr. and Mrs. C. T.
Huggins, Jr., Skip and Emily

bride’s cake featured a
gazebo top with hand-made
sweet pea flowers flowing
from the sides. Strawberries
covered the outside of the two
tier groom’s cake. The punch
was served on the outside
porch from a punch fountain.
Mrs. Eileen Boyle and Miss
Nit a Taylor served at the
reception. The bride’s book
was kept by Miss Tonita
Taylor.
Following a honeymoon to
Jamaica, the couple is
residing in Jonesboro.
THE REHEARSAL
After rehearsal at the
place of the wedding, the
rehearsal dinner was given
at the Newnan Country Club
by the groom’s parents. The
wedding color scheme was
also carried out in decora
tions at the rehearsal dinner.
Red, white, and blue flowers,
bows, and candles decorated
the tables. There were 17 in
attendance.
PARTIES
A lingerie shower was
given the bride by Mrs.
Ronald G. Camp of Roswell.
The shower was in the form
of a brunch in her home.
Mrs. J. W. Fincher, Mrs.
Robert Rooks, and Mrs.
Donald Knight gave a shower
for the couple at the
Fellowship Hall, Mountain
Park United Methodist
Church. Lovely decorations
and refreshments made for a
gala event.
A party was given at
General Services Admini
stration, where the couple
works, in their honor.
Refreshments were provided
and were prepared using the
Bicentennial color scheme.

The Club is being organiz
