Make friends with an
aardvark this Christmas.
• .. ' •J ' i- ■' .. - _
The moment you hand someone an aardvark, you know you’ve made a
fripnH Re pause it’s the unusual fuzzy green cuddly animal that even an adult
menu, uccdusc no un,
can love-one that children are sure to adore. For years to come.
And it’s yours when you deposit S2OO or more in anew or an
existing C&S savings account? We’re giving away just one per cus
tomer, but our aardvark will soon be a vanishing species. So see C&S,
and get an aardvark while you can. Someone will be glad you did.

Westside Loses
Chance To Be
State Champs
Westside Christian
School’s football team lost its
bid to be state champion to
Derrene Christian Academy
of Savannah in a game
played in Milledgeville last
week. The final score was
Derrene 18, Westside 12.
The defeat came in almost
the same way Westside had
won the North Georgia title a
week before.
Derrene scored on a long
pass with a little over a
minute to play to break a
12-12 deadlock.
Westside made a gallant,
but futile, effort in the closing
seconds but was stopped
when Derrene intercepted a
pass after Westside had
driven to the Derrene 25 yard
line.
For the past three years,
Westside has a 21-2-2 record
and is expecting an even
better season next year since
all players will be returning,
in addition to new players.
Also the basketball team at
Westside is expected to be
one of the strongest in its
division and is expected to do
well this year.

F.H.A. News
For the October F.H.A.
Club meeting, Mr. Bruce
Harper visited the F.H.A.
Club and gave a demonstra
tion on artificial and fresh
flower arranging. The stu
dents were very interested
and asked many questions.
On November 22, Mrs.
Edna Long, local Avon
representative, gave tips on
proper use of make-up with
the help of Rhonda Williams,
Debbie Bray, and Monica
Woody. She showed mem
bers the different types of
make-up and where and
when to use them. The
demonstration proved to be a
unique learning experience.
The main project for the
month was a Thanksgiving
basket of food that was given
to a needy family by the
Department of Family and
Children Services. The bas
ket contained canned foods
and a big turkey.
For December, the club
plans a Christmas party with
refreshments, and a display
of Christmas decorations by
Miss Patricia Smith, the
Butts County Home Econo
mist. The members drew
names and will give gifts to
their F.H.A. sisters.
The F.H.A. members wish
everyone a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.
