No. 2: The farmers are (lone planting their corn for the second time and were glad to see the rain which fell Saturday afternoon and night. The Davis school closed Thursday night. The intertaiument was quite a success. Every I tody enjoy ed it fine. The \V. \V. Club had a call meet ing Thursday at noon and elected; new officers and librarian for vaca tion. Miss Mattie Floyd was elect ed librarian. The club will meet every second Saturday at 3:30 P.M. We hope all the members will be faithful and attend every meeting. Mrs. J. R. Hill and children spent Friday with her niece.' Misses Laura Walter and Mattie Floyd. Mrs. Mattie Klmlierly, of Brox ton, spent a few days with her mother and father, Mrs. and Mr. 11. M. Allen. Miss Walter Floyd spent Saturday night with Inez Grimsley. Miss Until Simpson is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Willie Floyd. Miss Erma Grimsley spent Fri day night with Misses Walter and Mattie Floyd. Joe Grumpier, of near Empire, attended Sunday school at Lime stone church, last Sunday. M iss Mattie Walters and Alger Haskins were seen out driving last Wednesday afternoon. W. L. and C. C. Davis visited Davis school Wednesday. Miss Hattie Taylor spent Satur day night with Mattie Floyd Mr. and Mrs. I). J. Kimberly spent Sunday with the latter’s moth er, Mrs. X. J. Davis. W. C. Allen visited Davis school last Wednesday. Misses Mattie Walters and Lill ian Oakley left Saturday for their old home in Tennesee. They left many friends in Georgia. We hope to sße them again soon. Earnest and Alfred Davis visited Davis school Wednesday. Sunday school at Limestone every Sunday afternoon at 3:30. Every body is invited to attend' Mr and Mrs. Tom Grimsley spent Sunday night with Everette Floyd and family. E. B. Fenn and Pete Perkins at tended Sunday school on Limestone Sunday afternoon. C. C. Freddie Wimberly, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wimberly, Jr., age eighteen months, died at their residence on Milledgeville road Wednesday night, May 11th and was buried at Weeping Pine cemetary Thursday afternoon following. We join with friends and neighbors in extending sincere sympathies to the bereaved ones.
