Card From Col. Whipple. He States His Position in Re gard to the Establishment of a City Court To the voters of Pulaski County: Having l>een asked what my in tentions are as to the following matter, I desire to state that I have no intentions, if elected to the leg islature, to establish a Constitution al City Court, without regard to the wishes of the people. The grand jury, in February, iboiished the county court and es tablished 4 he “City Court of Pulas ki County" as laid down in the Code. This court has four sessions a year, in March, June, Septemlier, December. One accused of crime in this court cannot Ik: tried at any other time without his consent, and he still has the right to give l>ond and demand indictment by the jury, as was the case in the county court. It would he one year, if I were e luctod, before 1 could assume the office; and by that time from first hand information, it cun be known what the court is. The proof of the pudding is the eating of it, and the present court should stand or fall on its own merits. If a trial of it shows that it is better than the old court, keep it; if bad it should be abolished. 1 lielieve that any court, however established, should preserve the right of the ac cused to demand indictment by tin- grand jury. If elected representative, I will at all times strive to represent the people in their best interests, sub jecting my private opinions to the will of the majority. This is what I understand to be representative, democratic government. I have no intention of imposing on the county what it does not want or serving personal ends. Thanking my friends for their as surances of support, I am, Very truly, L. A. Whipple. Commander Julius A. Pratt Post No 143 Dept 111, G. A R. Mr. Isaac Cook, Commander of above Post, Kewanee, 111., writes: For a long time 1 was bothered with backache and pains across my kidneys. About two months ago I started taking Foley Kidney Pills and soon saw they were doing just as claimed. I kept on taking, them and now lam free from backache, and the painful bladder misery is all gone. 1 like Foley Kidney Pills so well that I have told many of my friends and comrades about them and shall recommend them at every opportunity."
