In memory of little Jewel Francis, who departed from this life April 28th. She was only six months old, although loving and sweet to all she met. She left a father, and a host of relatives to mourn her death. One precious to our heart is gone. The voice we love is still. The place made vacant in our home can never more be filled. ’Tis hard to break the tender cord, when love has bound the heart . ’Tis hard, so hard to speak the words, “we must forever part.” There was an angel band in heaven that was not near complete, so God took dear little Jewel to fill the va cant seat. Dearest darling, we have laid thee in thy lonely grave embrac ed, but thy memory will be cherish "ed ’till we see thy heavenly face. So farewell dear Jewel, but not a long farewell, for soon we hope to meet thee at the Saviors feet. Her Avnt.
