Mrs. John Barney Peacock was
hostess at a bridge party Tuesday
afternoon at her hospitable home on
Dublin street, the honor guests be
ing Mrs. M. H. Bland, of Milledge
ville, and Miss Mazie Griffith, of
Macon.
The parlor and library where the;
card tables were placed were fra
grant with white narcissi.
Mrs. Peacock’s gown was of dark
green lace over silk. Mrs. Bland
wore a gown of blue satin. Miss
Griffith was gi wned in a dark blue
tailored dress with a touch of red.

Mis. Sailie Harrell, a very old
lady, said to he nearly an hundred
years old, died at the residence of
Ira Lanfair Wednesday, and was
buried at Antioch cemetery Thurs
day. Old age is given as the cause
of her death.
She was a sister of the late Mrs.
Austin Lanfair. Her nearest living
relatives are Mrs. Sallie Lanfair,
her niece and Ira Lanfair, her
nephew.
