A DELIGHTFUL EVENT
One of the most delightful social
events of the week, was the lawn
party, given by Mrs. Kate Vinson
on Monday evening, from sto 6
o,clock. The grass carpeted lawn’s
beauty was enhanced by flowers
placed on tables and velvet rugs
here and there . A shirt waist ro
[ malice was the feature of the en
tertaining and furnished a much
mirth as the guest tried to put
the romance together and find the
missing words. Cream and cake
were served late in the evening.
About seventeen guest were pres
! ent.
This entertainment was given
I under the auspices of the Home
Missionary Society for the purpose
of raising more money.
MRS. CHAS, MULLIS ENTERTAINS
Mrs. Charles Mullis entertained
a happy party of young people for
the Home Missionary Society, at a
delightful porch party Wednesday
evening. Misses May Helms and
Vena Hopkins served punch as the
guests arrived. Much mirth was
created by the games; progressive
hearts and animals. Those partak
ing of Mrs. Mullis’ hospitality
were: Misses May Holms, Annie
Helms, Gertrude and Mattie Towler
Laurie and Hazel Wynne, Ruth
Taylor, Carrie May Chapman, Ada
