Norris and Fain, who made the
case, have been suspicious of this
place and Ross for seme time and
have been on thy lookout.
The charge is that Ross had whis

DEAD MAN A FUGITIVE
FROM GORGIA JUSTICE
LaG range, Ga., Oct. 30 —Satur-
day morning the body of John
Daniel, of Franklin, Heard county,
which was found in a house near Tam
pa, Fla., and later identified as that
of J. \V. Morris, was brought back
to this city and taken to Franklin
by Daniel’s father for burial.
Mystery which enshrouded the
finding of Daniel's body near Tamp
has been away, and it is
learned that Daniel who was a fugi

been living at Tampa for some time
under the assumed name of Morris.
Finding of his body, however has
not di. closed the means of his deata.
His brother, J. R. Daniel, who lives
near this city, states that officials
are unable to determine whether
Daniel committed suicide or was
murdered. Several parties are
held in connection with the affair
but scant evidence is available
against them.

Slays His Brother
in a Fight.
Police Chief, W. C. Barrow, of
Americus, upon instructions of the
police at Richland, Sunday after
noon, arrested Charles Drew, nine
teen years of age and well known
at Richland. The charge against
Drew was the killing of his own
brother, DeWitte Drew in an al
tercation there.
With the smoking pistol in his
hand, Drew hurriedly left the Drew
store, where the homicide appeared
and caught the Seaboard train Jor
Americus evidently making his way
toward Buena Vista, where he has
relatives.
When Chief Barrow caught him
down on cotton avenue, Drew, it is
said, denied his identity. He was
carried to the barracks where he
told the officers that his name was
Jossey; that he lived in Oklahoma
and had been in Preston upon a
visit to relatives.

good was accomplished by this rally.
Clayton A. Asbell, a former good
citizen of Twiggs who moved to Pu
