It is hereby ordered. That a tax of ten (10)

on each thousand dollars worth of taxable

taxable property of the county of Bleckley for
the year 1913, for county purpose.'; the per
cent levied for each specific purpose being as
follows;
To pay temporary loans for the purpose
of supplying revenues for the county of

from taxes for the first year after the cre

1912 of the General Assembly of Geor
gia, Page 38 to 41, and section 834 of

To build or repair bridges, or other pub
lic improvements, according to the con

NO ADVANCE IN HOTEL RATES.
Visitors to National Conservation Ex
position To Be Well Treated.
Those who are contemplating a visit
lo the National Conservation Exposi
tion In Knoxville during the months
of September and October of this year
can make their plans assured of this
fact: The rates at the Knoxville hotels
will not he advanced while the Expo
sition is on. This has too often been
the case in other cities where bis; na
tional expositions have been held. It
will not be the case in Knoxville.
FISH AND GAME EXHIBIT.
Under the direction of John H. Wal
lace, Jr., Game and Fish Commissioner
of Alabama, an exhibit of fish and
game for the National Conservation
Exposition is being prepared. Audu
bon societies are also co-operating in
this work.
GOOD ROADS LESSONS.
Good roads are necessary requisites
to the development of any country.
The necessity of good roads in the
South will be set forth by a line of
exhibits at the National Conservation
Exposition in Knoxville this fall.

with attendants, which will be utilized
for the purpose of taking charge of

Boarding the animalß at the club will

have their meals.

By virtue of an order granted by the Hon.
W. M. Wynne, Ordinary of said County, there
will be sold to the highest and best bidder for
cash before the conrt house door of said county,
in the City ot Cochran, on the first Tuisday in
October, 1913, the following lands, all lying in
said state and county, as the property of the es
tate of Jno. W. Perkins, to-wit:
That certain 180 one hundred and eighty
acres of land off of lot number 210 two hun
dred and ten in the 21st. Twenty First district
of said county; Said tract bounded by land;
known as the Everett Floyd home place, the
W. E. Holmes place, the Peter Hart home
place, and the Ouckcn road; This 180 acre
tract containing the residence of the late J. W.
Perkins wherein he lived.
Also that certain (120) one hundred and
twenty acres off of lot number (32) thirty two
in the (20th.) twentieth land district of said j
county: This tract being the one whereon Young
Chandler resided for several years as a tenant of
the said Perkins; The said tract being bounded
as follows; By lands belonging to the estate of
Martha Perkins, and by lands belonging to Mrs.
Emma Perkins, and by lands belonging to Mrs.
J. L. Horne, and by what is known as the
Hiram Allen home place.
Also, all of lot of land number (30) thirty in
the [2oth.] twentieth district of said county.
Also, a certain [3O) acres in the /Vorth cor
ner of lot number [32) thirty two in the f2oth.)
twentieth district of said county; This tract being
all the land described in a certain deed from
Bunyan Perkins to A. K I hojnpson & Co.
dated Aug. 23. 1890, and in Book V
page 59 in the office of the of Pulaski
Supeiior Court, except the ten acres named in
said last mentioned deed, which ten acres is
owned by Mrs. Leila Perkins individually, under
a deed from Mrs. Emma Perkins dated Oct.
