Congressman Walker is now in the district

Some fool said that Hugh Dorsey would carry
about orie hundred and forty counties. We
don't believe he will hardly do that.

The Georgia legislature is half over and has
passed only one general bill. How’s that for a
aide show? But the state seems content to
have this show every year, at a tremendous ex
pense. Instead of making it biennial, we should
think that a session every five years would be
sufficient, and a week at that, for th good that
is done.

“The Georgia Campmeeting.” That’s what’s

Judge W. C. Lankford, Coffee’s congressional
candidate, called Jet Bowden’s hand the other
day, in accepting his challenge for a joint de
bate. The Judge is not afraid to meet any of
them anywhere, as he is, fully capable to get
by with any kind of a “jint dispute”,
Reports from everywhere in this section are
that the rains have been the heaviest in years.
Just what extent the crops are damaged is only
problematical, at this time. But P that
cotton on the high lands will only suner aDout
ten per cent, while in the low lands, a percent
age of fifty per cent at least will be the damage.
But maybe the price will even up matters after
all.
