Quite a number of Douglasites
left last night for Atlanta to spend a
day or so, taking advantage of the

for this occasion.
Mr. Jim Kirkland and family have

where he has purchased a large planta
tion. His residence here is occupied

Mrs. Tom Baily and children are
spending seme time in the city as the
guests of Mr. J. S. Lott and Judge
W. C. Lankford’s family. They will
return to their home in St. Peters
burg, Fla., next week.
Mrs. H. W. Dyer and daughters,
Mrs. Caldwell and Misses Annie and
Dorothy Dyer, spent several days at
St.. Simons and Brunswick this week,
returning Thursday night. They
went to Brunswick in Mrs. Caldwell’s
car.

mal dance Monday evening on the
Ashley terrace in honor of their cous
in, Miss Francis Holland, of Lakeland,
Fla. There were about thirty five
young people present.

of Rev. T. S. Hubert who has been
cofined to his bed for several days. It
is not known yet whether he will be
able to hold services the following
Sunday. Today, however, he is re
opited as being much better.

A wedding of much interest took

of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Wlison on
Ward street, when Miss Goldie Brown,
daughter of Mrs. Wilson, was mar
ried to Mr. J. R. Jardine, of this city,
lhe ceremony being performed by Rev.
M. A. Morrison, of the Methodist
yhureh.
The bride is a favorite with Doug
las people having lived here many
years. Her friends are numbered by
her acquaintances and she has many.
The groom is a young man of splen
did habits and well and favorably
known in the city, being a member of
the well kown Douglas Foudry and
Machine Works.
The young couple are receiving the
congratulation of their many friends
along with which goes the best wishes
of The Enterprise.
Mr. N. Ginsberg, who has been
