Waycross, were week-end visitors to

this week.
Miss Pauline Dugger has returned
from a visit to friends and relatives
in Nashville.

their guests last Sunday, Mrs. A. T.

ren Lott went over to Fitzgerald this
week in their car.
Mrs. Arthur Watts has returned
from Augusta where she attended the
funeral of her mother.
Mrs. T. S. Price and mother, Mrs.

Thursday in Fitzgerald.

this week from Hot Spirngs, Ark.,
where he spent several weeks for his
health.

bourne, N. C., are spending a few
days with their sister, Mrs. M. H.

Mrs. A. E. Cossart left Thursday
for her home in Oklahoma, she was
accompanied by her mother, Mrs. S.

Mr. and Mrs. Morton Thigpen who
are visiting relatives in North Carolina
are expected this week to visit their
mother, Mrs. T. S. Deen.
Mr. W. R. Wilson spent Thursday
in Atlanta where he went to attend the
organization of the new Optometry
board of which he is a member.

returned from Camp Harris where
they spent several days visiting their
son, Tom, who is in camp there.

M. Roberts this week.
Mrs. McArthur, Miss Aline McAr
thur, Mr. and Mrs. Holland, of Pensa
cola, Fla., and Mrs. Redder Denmark,
of Bainbridge, left Thursday for their
homes after a visit to Mrs. A. F. Cof
fee.

tended the recent state convention in
Macon were Messrs. J. M. Dent, R. J.
Cornelius, John Paulk, J. W. Quincey,
0. F. Deen, M. D. Dickerson and W.
R. Frier.
The Epworth League, of the Metho
dist church, entertained the young
people of the town and the schools
on Monday evening. A very pleas
ant annual affair that is always en
joyed, refreshments were served.

Regular Meeting of U. D. C.
Mrs C. W. Roberts was the hostess
to the U. D. C. on Thurday afternoon,
with about fifteen present.
The business on hand and election
of officers filled the afternoon, so the
historical program was omitted.
Plans were made for the erection of
a Chapter House and Mrs. W. W. Mc-
Donald was made chairman of a com
mittee to raise funds.
Judge G. R. Briggs was an honor
ed guest of the chapter and gave the
ladies much valuable information
about the confederacy.
A solo by Mrs. W. H. Dyer was
much enjoyed.
Mrs. C. W. Roberts was made dele
gate to the U. D. C. Convention at
Dublin with Mrs. S. J. Stubbs, alter
nate. The president Mrs. J. M. Hall
will also attend.
Mrs. F. M. Appelby was appointed
delegate to the National U. D. C. at
Dallas Texas with Mrs. A. F. CofFee,
alternate.
