Waycross is now enjoying her annual Pros
iperity week, and a visitor there is soon convin
ced that it is not a misomer, that is if he goes
a2>out over the city any. Waycross has some
big things, the newest and one of the most
wonderful being the packing plant which is
now in full blast. Then there is the big cy
press mill and the A. C. L. shops, these institu
tions enough for the maintenance of any city
Hike Waycross. The editors of the district met
there on Wednesday and were royally enter
tained by her citizens, being shown all of these
things” down Waycross way.

THE EMPTY STOCKING FUND.
The Enterprise is following its usual cus
tom each year in promoting the empty stocking
fund and giving publicity to its organization and
completion.
We do this because we believe that the
people want it. that they are desirous of donat
ing something in asubstantial way at this sea
son of the year, to charity, and thereby assist
in making the season what it should be to every
body.
There is a lot of charity to be done in this
city, like every other city. Somebody has got
to do it. To contribute to this fund, will in a
small way, help to alleviate much of the suffer
ing in our midst, and will bring a ray of sun
shine to the heart of a great number who are
less fortunate.
Every season we have been very success
ful in raising a bout SIOO. to this fund. We
should raise that amount, or more this year,
because there is more money in the county than
ever before. We want you to subscribe to the
fund, to be paid in cash or merchandise, and
proper committees will be appointed to look
after the distribution. Send the Enterprise the
amount you desire to give, and we will gladly
place it to your credit. «

SANTA CLAUS LETTERS.
We are going to give two issues of our
paper again this year to the publishing of Santa
Claus letters. We have been doing this for
eight years, and the children have become ac
customed to it, and we cannot afford to abandon
it now, even if we desired to.
The little letters are always interesting,
bright, and it does the grown-ups good to read
them. It does the little folks more good, and
the Enterprise is only too glad to help along in
this direction. Therefore for the next two
weeks, we will give publicity to all letters which
come to this office. See notice elsewhere as to
conditions, etc.

Editor Volney Williams seems to be the
busiest man in Georgia. Taking care of his
SIBOO. job in North Georgia, operating his news
paper, selling automobiles, and looking after his
friends when they go to Waycross, is about as
much as one man cares to T . . The lattrv
is a one man’s job, for Vomey has a host of
friends and Uiey hang on to him when they are
in Waycross®

“WHERE ARE MY CHILDREN?” will create a profound im
pression on every man and woman who sees it. Lois Weber, to whose
credit goes the writing and direction of the production, has handled the
theme in such an infinitely delicate manner that the possibility of of
fense to-the most refined is out of the question.
The management of the Grand Theatre has decided in the
presentation of the picture, to follow the decree of the National Board
of Censors by refusing admission to children under sixteen years unless
accompanied by parent or guardian.
